January Nailbox

Coming at the end of January means most beauty boxes have to look forward, and Nailbox is no exception. This month’s is all about Valentine’s Day with three pinky shades in the box.

image

With their own brand orange sticks and a fancy treatment from Nail Apothecary, this box is a little too girly for me, and I’m a beauty blogger!

The orange sticks take me back to being a kid, my mum always seemed to have one out. Luckily my cuticles are virtually non-existent.

The gold flecked ridge filler is a nice addition to the box, I have a ridge on my thumb from smashing it in a door years ago, which means polish looks a bit odd sometimes.

The polishes are just too much pink for me to deal with. The Sinful Pro Shine in Baby Doll is my least favourite colour ever. Reminds me of Pepto Bismol.

The Seche Rendezvous is better, but still unlikely to get used much, and the Nails Inc Alexa collection Hearts look very pretty but seem very determined to stay in their bottle with the brush coming out heart-less.

Not the best box so far, for me anyway, but if you’re into pink, this is your dream box.

The Love Hearts win me over, I love sweets. :)🍬🍭

What do you think? Are you Little Miss (or Mr) Pink? Let me know in the comments below.

Nailbox December

Nailbox’s latest dropped into my lap this Christmas Eve with Spring shades for 2016.

image

Lilacs, and Nails Inc’s Blossom polish.

Plus a nail art pen, and randomly, a set of tweezers, for brows, not nails! It’s called Nailbox chaps, don’t dilute the brand!

I like the shades of purple and the Blossom (aka Bloomsbury Way) would look great over the top or even on naked nails!

Won’t be rocking these shades till after the sun comes back, spring flourishes don’t really match with the almost constant deluge outside.

If you want to see my Christmas nails, you’ll have to pop over to Instagram to find out!

Merry Christmas.💅⛄🎁❄🎀🎅🎄🌞

Nailbox – Christmas is coming…

November’s Nailbox has arrived, bringing with it a hint of Christmas in its red, green and glitter.

image

Also in the box, Elegant Touch stick on tips, a file, and a great little booklet of festive patterns for your nails.

image

And the colour coordinated candy cane is a nice touch. I’ve got a few Christmas dos to attend and now festive nail designs!

Nailbox October

image

Another month, another addition to my nail polish obsession.

image

This month’s box features three wintery shades of polish from Rommel, Essie and Nails Inc. I can definitely see some funky nail art with these three shades.

Also in the box is Nicole by Opi Drying Drops – which is a new product to me. According to the blurb you add a drop or two after applying your colour and top coat to speed up the drying process.

image

Lastly, there’s a pair of nail scissors from Elegant Touch. I prefer filing my nails to cutting them, and I can’t use them anyway, being a leftie (I have special ones for emergencies from Anything Left-Handed) but for anyone else these might come in useful.

image

Overall a great little treat for nail polish nuts like me. A great way to get more polish for less than if I went and bought them separately (£15 for the box including P&P).

Nailbox – Spooky September

I skipped August’s nailbox while I tried to use up some of my existing nail polishes, and September’s box arrived today.

image

Slightly confusingly it’s Halloween themed, despite it being September, but I suppose if you’re planning an All Hallows’ party, this would give you plenty of time to practise your designs.

image

As well as three polishes, there’s a set of nail design brushes, and a base coat from Nail Apothecary.

image

The polishes come from a range of brands, including my fave Nails Inc, and they’re all full size. For £15 this is a good range of nail items.

Nailbox – the polish addict’s box

image

I regularly check in with the reviews on other blogs and this caught my nail polish addict’s eye.

Oh what a fabulous box for someone who loves nail polish.

image

Moyou London nail stamper and scraper set. With this you can apply funky nail art with the stamper and templates. Something I will definitely be having a play with.

image

Nail Apothecary Cuticle Eliminator – I am quite lucky in that my cuticles are very small and don’t give me any grief. But I will keep this close to hand in case they do start misbehaving.

image

Three nail polishes. Opi, Barry M, China Glaze. Pink, purple, white. They are worth the cost of the box alone!

Really like this box, looking forward to seeing what next month brings.
